30 Days of Fandom Meme Day 03

3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favourite characters to write?

I thought this might be a rather long-winded answer, but once I stopped and thought about it, I realised that actually it is fairly short and sweet.

With the exception of NCIS and Buffyverse, all of the other fandoms in which I have written only involve one pairing and in all cases I either love both halves of the pairing or at least really like both halves - otherwise I wouldn't write them as I wouldn't enjoy doing so. Some I found came more naturally than others, some were slightly easier to write, but I enjoyed writing about all of them.

When it comes to Buffyverse, my favourite character to write was Giles. He's British; he's 'old' (in scooby terms, I hasten to add); he's old-fashioned. I 'get' Giles.

In NCIS my absolute favourite character to write was Ducky. Again he's British; he's older (but not dead); he's old fashioned; I 'get' Ducky. That said, I also really enjoyed writing Gibbs, McGee, Jimmy and Fornell. I enjoyed writing all the characters about whom I wrote, but those were my favourites to write.

Weekly Icon Posting Project

A relatively old fannish icon this week.

This icon was made by lost_spook.

This is Silver & Steel from the British  last '70s - early '80s TV series Sapphire & Steel staring David McCallum & Joanna Lumley. Silver/Steel were one of my main pairings at one point and at the moment I am going through a 'S/S' phase.

I think this icon is very well balanced and shows 'my' pairing in a great light. It's plain and simple, but so very effective and well made.
Music: Note

Another one lost

Kenny Rogers, who I grew up listening to and loving and who remained one of my favourite country & western singers, has died.

There are so many of his songs I love, but the first one that comes to mind whenever his name is mentioned is 'Coward of the County'.

RIP Mr. Rogers.
