Alphabet Meme. Napoleon/Illya. (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.)

I apologise for the fact that the stories aren't all the same length. I do try to ensure that the word count is the for multiple requests for the same pairing. However, the muse/bunny is a fickle thing and I'm haven't been able to achieve that for these stories.

TITLE: Zero Hour
AUTHOR: Ashleigh Anpilova
FANDOM: The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
PAIRING: Napoleon Solo/Illya Kuryakin
GENRE: Pre-Slash
SUMMARY: Napoleon isn't sure about his new partner.
RATING: G
WORD COUNT: 400
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Written for birggitt - 'A' - Ambivalence
DISCLAIMER: I don't own these characters, nor am I making any money from them. I merely borrow them from time to time.

He'd met him three days ago when he'd been summoned to Mr. Waverly's office and introduced to him. Illya Nickovetch Kuryakin; his new partner.

He wasn't certain he wanted a partner. He wasn't certain he wanted a partner who looked barely old enough to know how to use a gun. He wasn't certain he wanted a partner who was a Russian. And he knew he didn't want a partner to whom he was attracted.

But one does not argue with Alexander Waverly. Not even Napoleon Solo argued with him.

He'd spent the previous three days watching his new partner; studying him; talking to him; trying to learn about him. And what he'd seen and heard made him re-evaluate his thoughts.

He'd soon learned that not only did Illya know how to use a gun, he knew how to use one extremely well. And his knowledge did not just lie with guns. Napoleon soon discovered that Illya had used, or knew how to use, any weapon around.

He'd also soon realized that his feelings of attraction were not going to go away. He wondered how soon it would be before he took his new partner to his bed.

But he still wasn't certain he wanted a partner. He still wasn't certain he wanted a partner who looked barely old enough to know how to use a gun. He still wasn't certain he wanted a partner who was a Russian. And he still knew he didn't want a partner to whom he was attracted.

And yet at the same time he knew he did want a partner. He did want one who looked barely old enough to know how to use a gun. He did want one who was a Russian. He did want one to whom he was attracted. He did want Illya as partner, lover and friend.

Today was the day he would find out just how good his new partner was. Today was the day he would truly discover if Illya's words were true. Because today was the day of their first mission together. Today was the day he would put his life in the hands of a man he was still somewhat ambivalent about.

As zero hour approached Napoleon looked at the young man crouched next to him and made a silent vow. If they both walked away from this, he would seduce Illya Nickovetch Kuryakin that night.

TITLE: First Things First
AUTHOR: Ashleigh Anpilova

SUMMARY: A companion piece to Zero Hour. Illya recalls his first meeting with Napoleon.

Illya's first impression of his new partner was not a positive one.

His first thought was that anyone who clearly took so much time and effort over his dress and hair would not make a good spy. Nor a man with whom Illya wished to spend his working life. And yet clearly the man had something; he was after all Head of Section II, so maybe much of what he appeared to be was merely a façade.

Illya also found himself instantly attracted to his new partner, which did not necessarily bode well. Not that he foresaw it as a problem, not really. He had, after all, been attracted to men before but had not acted on the attraction.

However, three days spent almost entirely in the company of Napoleon Solo changed Illya's first impression. What you saw was not what Napoleon was. And he was clearly not only a good spy, he was a very good spy. There were things Illya would be able to learn from him. And he was surprised to discover that he found he did wish to spend his working life with Napoleon. And more.

The attraction, still unacted on, had not gone away, indeed it had increased. And he found himself fairly certain that it was reciprocated. However, unless his partner made the first move, it would remain unacted on.

Today was the first day they would put their partnership to the test. Today was the day he would discover just how good Napoleon was.

As the moment for which they had been waiting arrived, Illya glanced at the man crouched next to him and in that instant he knew. He knew that if they both survived the day, Napoleon Solo would seduce him that night. But first they had to survive the day.

TITLE: They Don't Talk About It

GENRE: Slash. Established Relationship
SUMMARY: Napoleon and Illya don't talk about their relationship.
RATING: PG-13
WORD COUNT: 200

They don't talk about it.

They never have.

Not even in the beginning.

Not even the first time they came together.

They hold one another. They kiss. They make love.

But they don't talk about it.

They are involved. They are in a relationship. They love one another.

But they don't talk about.

It's not that they don't care; they do. They care so much more than they should.

It's not that it's not important to them; it is. It is more important to them than any other relationship.

It's because they care so much. It's because it is so important to them that they don't talk about it.

To do so would make it real. And for now they have enough reality in their day-to-day lives, in their jobs to save the world.

So they'll go on holding one another. They'll go on kissing. They'll go on making love.

They'll go on being involved. They'll go on being in a relationship. They'll go on loving one another.

But they won't talk about it.

Not yet. Not now.

The day will come when they will. They both know that.

But not yet.

They don't talk about it.

They never have.

So many years had passed since the day they first met.

So many years had passed since the day they first became lovers.

So many years had passed since the day Napoleon had walked away from U.N.C.L.E.

So many years had passed since the day Illya had walked away.

So many years had passed since the day they came back together.

So many years had passed since they day they both walked away from U.N.C.L.E.

As he watches Illya sleep his, now dark gold, hair spread out over the pillow, Napoleon hopes they'll still have years and years left together.
