Aingeal sums up Nikki's summing up - 5.15

1) Obvious baddie.
2) Not wnough G/D
3) Baghdad and back...confusing.
4) McGee does not understand DiNozzo.
5) Field feiled trip...
6) Big part for Nikki which wasn't exactly great.
7) Not enough.
8) A few touching moments.

BTW package as arrived safely. Yay!

5. Yep
6. Yessssss

Re: Aingeal sums up Nikki's summing up - 5.15

1) True even CLF spots them. Mind yoyu it's no worse than any of the CSIs these days that have their bad guys telegraphed in neon some episodes.
3) I was confused enough having it explained. That you keot track of all that - well done I say.
4) Awww poor McGee.
7) Of the parts that we like - Jimmy, team interaction...it seemed lacking in several departments. Though enough of madame director (whom my mother has begun referring to as 'that bloody woman' when she comes onscreen.)

Aingeal's household is a happy one. I shall let you know what the family think.

Hope it stays back. And phew. I;m glad about that. Thank you for your reply :-)

7. Indeed - most definitely.

Thank you - I shall look forward to that.

Thanks. So far, so good. (Looks around carefully).

Whilst throwing salt over one shoulder.

Of course.

We mustn't forget the salt.

Re: Aingeal sums up Nikki's summing up - 5.15

Always comes in handy. CLF is very into his salt throwing.

Good for CLF.

I am in awe. Always before, I bypassed these recaps, because I hadn't watched the show, so I didn't realize how thorough you were. This time I did watch -- even upped my attention to about 25% -- which still wasn't enough to follow the storyline. <g> Do you take notes as you watch? Now, that's dedication!

*Blush* Thank you.

If it's any consolation, I was watching with 100% and I got confused at times. It was a very bitty and frustrating episode.

Do you take notes as you watch?

*Whispers* Yes, I do :-)

My first watch is just for me via my PC and I sit there taking notes - I can even sometimes read *g* - and then do the review.

The second watch is with J and I don't take notes.

That fizzling sound you hear

Is my enthusiasm, deflating.
This episode failed utterly to engage me.
That's all I'm going to say about it.

Now, let's talk about Nikki.
I don't care about Nikki.
She's a mildly amusing, mainly annoying, distraction.
This had better not be a way to weasel her into a regular role. Hello, writers? We don't need new characters. *thumps receiver on table* Hello, is anyone there?

Grrrrrrr.
*stalks off, muttering*

*comes back*
Oops, sorry Nikki (that's you, not HER), I forgot to thank you for your review.
Everything you said, same here.

Re: That fizzling sound you hear

Hee. I thought of you as I was watching it (and trying not to fall asleep ::coughs::)

Me too.

*Nods* I quite liked her in this one, but can you see her and Gibbs working together!!! Hah!

Also, it's very disconcerting that she and I have the same name *g* I get confused :-))

You're welcome.

I suspected as much. *Sigh*

I had to re-read your review a few times it got so confusing. Nikki...wait not the Nikki I know...Nikki wouldn't do that. Oh wait not that Nikki...

Re: That fizzling sound you hear

If she stays I think I'll have to use Jardine, her surname, it really is too confusing otherwise.
aingeal8c From: aingeal8c Date: 1st May 2008 17:10 (UTC) (Link)

Re: That fizzling sound you hear

I hope she doesn't stay but if she does that would seem a good diea. Although Jardine makes me think of Quentin Jardine the crime writer...

TPTB should have named her better.

I hope so too. Ah - hmmmm.

They should indeed.

*pokes your email*

I think email generally is buggered. Both my BT & Yahoo accounts are playing silly beggars at the mo :-(

Not watched the ep yet. Pretty much all the comments I've read agree with what you've said; complicated, not a patch on last week etc etc

It's probable possible I'm obsessed with the who's leaving issue, but I've been thinking again (danger!). Why was Leon in this ep? He didn't need to be, Gibbs coulda been the one to tell the team who was going to Iraq, passing on the message so to speak.

I choose to believe it's so they can get us used to him in time for next season *g*

Ausiello has a poll up where you can vote for who's leaving. Jen currently leads the way with about 65%....
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 1st May 2008 16:35 (UTC) (Link)
Thank you - I think it helped.

That's interesting to hear, the BT bit. We're with PlusNet, but I know BT took them over, although they retain independence or something, so I was wondering if it might be a BT issue. I think it's mainly to do with all the spam, they reckon about 98% of all email is spam these days.

It certainly wasn't *sigh*

It's possible I too am obsessed by that little fact, in fact I think it's more, as you said before striking it out :-) probable :-) And yes, my thoughts went in the same direction as yours re: Leon and the fact he didn't need to be the one to make the decision (in fact I admit to being 'huh why is he doing that? It's normally Gibbs that does it'.

OTOH, I also did wonder if TPTB are being sneaky with us, and him being there was a red herring - i.e. we were meant to think that means it's Jenn. Ditto I thought the same about Nikki and Ziva (we can't have Nikki permanently, it gets too confusing *g*), and if *gulp* that means it is going to be Tony.

*Sigh*

Thank you - I toddled over. I did wonder how many of these votes are more for 'this is the person we went to be leaving' than 'this is the person we think will be losing'.

Hmmm, am I possibly over-thinking this?
plutos_revenge From: plutos_revenge Date: 1st May 2008 17:13 (UTC) (Link)
My BT account does have an annoying habit of putting stuff in my spam folder that clearly isn't. Stuff I've told them isn't spam. Stupid email :-P

Ah, but maybe they think that we think that they think it's a red herring! And so it isn't. A red herring. Um....

Nikki is much like Paula to me; I like her, but I couldn't stomach her full time.

Yeah, those votes do have an element of that I suppose. I kinda feel sorry for LH at the mo however!

nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 2nd May 2008 12:05 (UTC) (Link)
We turned off spam filtering via our ISP, partly as we have the full AVG package which includes it and also because they kept getting it wrong!

Ah, circular thinking - I like that.

Indeed. I agree.

I've always felt sorry for her, because her character has always been disliked. Remember at the end of S3 when they had the big 'someone is leaving' and there were other polls like this one, and then she topped them too.
