All well and good, but, will there be cake?
And what about t-shirts and hats?

Wicked :-)

Nice idea.

No doubt we'll wait and see what develops.

It sort of makes me shudder. What next I wonder...

Just checking here, but just wanted to make sure J got my reply to his e.mail on Sunday.

Of all the places it could have been sold to, Russia seems so unlikely. And yet, as I've seen more than one thread say, at the moment the Russians have far less stringent rules over certain things than the US. So hopefully all will be well.

I have asked him and he assures you it arrived safely - he just hasn't replied as yet.

Thanks! Just checking, as things are going astray still... like the notification for this comment which never arrived. *sigh*

I know what you mean *sigh*

I keep 'finding' the odd comment I hadn't replied to.

To second what J said, I'm really sorry we failed *sigh* I had hoped we'd be able to get something, but as he told you, it couldn't even see the disc, so whatever happened was ultra-serious.

I thought it was a joke I have to admit. I mean the jokes alone...

I am not convinced this will end well but then that's me for you.

GMTA. I must confess, I did at first too.

I'm trying to be positive and optimistic (well there's a first time for everything *g*)

My biggest problem at the moment is that G/D Comm comes up for renewal in 11 days. And I'm fence sitting. I don't want to lose the mood theme or the customisations I've made to the layout - and I'd do both if I don't renew it as paid. But . . . I'll almost certainly do it, but . . .
aingeal8c From: aingeal8c Date: 4th December 2007 12:38 (UTC) (Link)
I think a lot of people did. Of all the crazy news posts...

Ooo go you. I ma still cynical ;-)

Oh dear that is tricky. I can understand your dilemma. I just checked and closet is up for renewel this month too. Hmm it is a tough one isn't it? Paid does give you more options. I'm the same...
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 4th December 2007 12:54 (UTC) (Link)
I would think so.

It's tough though :-)

I know *sigh* I thought Closet was fairly close to G/D - so we're both in the same boat, so to speak. I'm almost certain I'll renew it, I must say. Timing-wise it's just a bit 'bad'.
aingeal8c From: aingeal8c Date: 4th December 2007 13:06 (UTC) (Link)
Hee indeed it is.

Yes odd how our comms are so close together isn't it? And yes had this nes happened shortly after we'd renewed, well...things would have died down by the enxt renewal. But I am leaning the same way you are, to renew.

I don't know wether to be happy or not. Especially when they have an Advisory Board. :/
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 4th December 2007 12:31 (UTC) (Link)
I know what you mean.

Well the Advisory Board will include two LJ users, so one would hope that it might not be too bad. Although, of course there's nothing to guarantee that either of them will be fannish folk.
honeybearbee From: honeybearbee Date: 4th December 2007 21:44 (UTC) (Link)
That's what I was thinking. I think the Board should have more than 2 LJ users and some could be fannish. It would make things more fair.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 5th December 2007 15:45 (UTC) (Link)
I think it should have more than two too.

A fannish person would be good, I admit. But the only thing is when has fandom ever all sung from the same hymn sheet? But one would hope there's some kind of core belief somewhere - I'm not sure, but one could hope.
