Desktop Meme
I was tagged by honeybearbee.

Rules:
Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. Here’s how you can do a screen capture:

1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
2.Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V). If you wish, you can “edit” the image before saving it.
3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
4. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.

It's Gibbs and Ducky *g*, icon free (except the rubbish bin), because I don't like them to be de-spoiled by things over them. I vary between having the rubbish bin hidden and not, it depends on my mood.

It's not terribly good - it's one my 'to make better when I finally teach myself Paint Shop Pro. I want to cut their heads out properly. So one of these days, it will get better. I actually have the same basic desktop on my PC and both laptops, albeit with different backgrounds.

I think it's very nice and I like the uncluttered look.

It's a nice serene desktop and am I very wrong in saying I think you made it yourself?

I'll do mine tomorrow, (have made the pic already, I'm glad you told me how it's done because I had no clue) because I've just made a post. But I like this meme, so look for it sometime tomorrow! :)
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 5th October 2007 16:04 (UTC) (Link)
Thank you, my dear. And no, you are not wrong. I did indeed do that thing.

I merely passed on the instructions, so thanks go to whoever detailed them to begin with. I keep forgetting about the 'print screen' key, so it was useful.

I shall look forward to seeing yours.

Awww. *looks again*

Awwwww.

That's lovely.

I think it looks very nice indeed.

And wheee a tag. Expect something on the morrow...
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 6th October 2007 10:39 (UTC) (Link)
Awww, thank you.

I'm glad you like it.

Indeed a tag :-)
aingeal8c From: aingeal8c Date: 6th October 2007 13:50 (UTC) (Link)
I do. It suits you and them ;-)

I do like a tag now and then ;-)

Ooo I ryhmed.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 6th October 2007 15:05 (UTC) (Link)
Why, thank you.

And you did indeed.
aingeal8c From: aingeal8c Date: 6th October 2007 19:58 (UTC) (Link)
You're welcome.

I cannot, however, think of anything to put to rhyme with welcome.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 7th October 2007 09:56 (UTC) (Link)
*Smiles*

Nor can I.
aingeal8c From: aingeal8c Date: 7th October 2007 10:29 (UTC) (Link)
:-)

I had a good think...and yep come does...
honeybearbee From: honeybearbee Date: 5th October 2007 20:31 (UTC) (Link)
I knew it was going to be Gibbs/Ducky! That is so good! Who drew it?
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 6th October 2007 10:41 (UTC) (Link)
*Giggles* Who else could it be?

Thank you.

It's basically something I put together. I 'cut out' four pictures of them, just by using and oval cutting tool, softened the edges and then found a back-ground that I liked. As I said I want to re-make it at some point by actually cutting the faces out properly, it's on the 'To Do List@.
honeybearbee From: honeybearbee Date: 6th October 2007 18:05 (UTC) (Link)
No one really! It looks really good. I wish I could do something like that.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 7th October 2007 09:46 (UTC) (Link)
Thank you very much.

*Hugs*
crimson_37 From: crimson_37 Date: 6th October 2007 05:16 (UTC) (Link)
That's a really gorgeous wallpaper. And trust your desktop to be so neat and tidy. :)
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 6th October 2007 10:55 (UTC) (Link)
Thank you, honey, what a lovely thing to say, coming from you that's really super.

*Giggles* Yes, well, that's me.

Poor J if he uses my computer for anything, not only does he have to cope with the task bar being at the top (albeit he's used to that now), but he says he can't find anything. I have my 'most used' programs on the task bar and 'Window Explorer' is my best friend :-)
crimson_37 From: crimson_37 Date: 6th October 2007 11:36 (UTC) (Link)
Ha, maybe I should get rid of the icons on my desktop too. I never use them I always use windows explorer too. It's my friend. :)
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 6th October 2007 11:43 (UTC) (Link)
*Giggles*

Well there you are then :-) Go for it.
curly_the_sue From: curly_the_sue Date: 6th October 2007 16:51 (UTC) (Link)
Woooow, just one icon??? I mean, I don't have a lot icons on my desktop but just one? *laughs* Impossible for me though...
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 6th October 2007 17:15 (UTC) (Link)
Yes, just one. And I didn't cheat and move any :-)

It's just the way I work.

I have the main icons on the task bar (at the top *g*), but pretty much 'control' everything with Windows Explorer.

Well I can't despoil my lovely men now, can I?
curly_the_sue From: curly_the_sue Date: 6th October 2007 18:25 (UTC) (Link)
Impressive! *laughs*

"Well I can't despoil my lovely men now, can I?" I guess your right... =)
I have this problem with my current wallpaper, but *sighs* I'm a creature of habit and I even hate it to change the order of my icons... so deleting icons... no, that's impossible *laughs* But therefore I make so many wallpapers that I change them almost every day*laughs*
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 7th October 2007 09:52 (UTC) (Link)
You should see my mother's desktop *shudders* I don't know how she finds anything.

I'm a creature of habit and I even hate it to change the order of my icons.

I can understand that. When I did have a few icons on my desktop a few years ago at home and work, I used to have to keep them in the exact same order and position *Blush*

Wow! A wallpaper junkie - what program do you use, BTW for your icons/wallpaper?
curly_the_sue From: curly_the_sue Date: 7th October 2007 12:06 (UTC) (Link)
"A wallpaper junkie" - Oh yes... when I'm stressed I make some graphics and I feel better. It's really creepy.=) The graphics in my scrapbook are only some of my huge collection. And it grows almost everyday. =)
I rape photoshop 7.

*giggles* No need to blush, I have that same "urge". =)
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 7th October 2007 13:07 (UTC) (Link)
Ah, so when I see lots of graphics on your journal, I know you're stressed. I shall bear that in mind. I'm glad making them helps de-stress you.

Photoshop is very popular.

:-))
curly_the_sue From: curly_the_sue Date: 7th October 2007 13:51 (UTC) (Link)
Yeah, but it can also mean that I have a lot of freetime...=)
Photoshop is the best graphic program. It took a lot time to get used to it (I still find new functions, and I use ps almost a year *laughs*), but then it is awesome!
