My dogs: Tansy

Month-long TV Meme - Day #15 - Favourite female character.

When nicis_anatomy started to post this meme last month, I promised her that I would do it in June. So I am keeping my promise. From seeing Nici's posts last month, I know several of my answers will be the same as hers.

Day 15 - Favourite female character.

Another not very easy one, as whilst there are many female characters I love (Abby, Buffy, Willow, Ziva, Sandra Pullman, Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, Barbara Havers to name a few) I don't really have a head and shoulders above all others one.

However, I have decided on one and I'm going to move away from NCIS and go with Claudia Jean Cregg, known as CJ, from The West Wing.

CJ  is the White House Press Secretary. And this lady is how all strong women should be written. The writers get the perfect balance of strength, vulnerability, intelligence and femininity without the bitchiness that so often takes over.

She has one of the most 'up front' jobs and when things are thrown at her she's often in front of the camera and has to answer quickly say something without actually saying anything. As with Sam and Leo she's dedicated, devoted, caring, loyal, oh and tall *g* something they play on from time to time. And she's not afraid of her height; she still wears heels and she always looks good and comfortable with herself.

She's a credit to the TV female.

Pimping for a friend

Hmmm, that doesn't sound good, does it?

Anyway, I'm doing a wee bit of pimping - promoting sounds better - for a good friend whom some of you may know: adriannacoylho.

Adrianna has entered a short film competition and her film features her two daughters - and it is a really good little film, with great music and cute kiddies (and you all know I don't 'do' kiddies *g*) - and she'd dearly like some more votes.

Information duly snaffled by the film director herself.

Talullah Falls
'Destiny doesn't care how old you are.'

“The unlikely friendship of heathen assassin Ren Kunga and ninja Princess Talullah is tested one final time in the woodlands of Cornwall. A kung fu caper complete with dubbing, 'wire' work and fighting in trees, sort of. Shot entirely on a mobile phone for the Nokia MiniMo competition 2010, this film from first time director Natasha Francis was put together in just 24hrs and used a very environmentally friendly home grown cast.”

Watch and Vote

And a little note about the voting from the main watch page: The voting box tends to hide behind the video, so right click and open in a new window or tab to vote. There it will ask you for an email address (to make sure you only vote once ;).

Voting closes Wednesday 16th. (Tomorrow!!!)

The making of Talullah Falls on Adrianna's journal.
