Month-long TV Meme - Day #13 - Favourite childhood show.

When nicis_anatomy started to post this meme last month, I promised her that I would do it in June. So I am keeping my promise. From seeing Nici's posts last month, I know several of my answers will be the same as hers.

Day 13 - Favourite childhood show.

In all honesty I don't really remember having one, not as such. I watched children's TV and enjoyed the shows, but as for a favourite not really.

However, I'm going to go with Blue Peter in the days of Peter Peter Purves, John Noakes, Valerie Singleton and Lesley Judd, plus of course their pets.

Ah, the 'here's one I made earlier' and sticky-back plastic, I'll never hear those words without thinking of Blue Peter. And I do remember covering school books in the latter, as well as wallpaper. I did used to watch it regularly, but never once had the desire to get a Blue Peter badge or anything that involved 'joining in' other than the odd thing like covering books or making things out of loo roll middles that I could do by myself at home.

It was gentle, it was fun, you could enjoy it even if you had no desire or ability to make things. In the days I used to watch it the presenters were great and had a good time and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing and didn't mind things going wrong or anything. Well that's how it seemed when I was a child.

From what I've seen it's changed beyond all recognition since I used to watch it - but then that's natural progression, I guess.
