A Friday Five on LJ

From thefridayfive

1. How long ago did you join LJ?

I created my LJ on 2nd December, 2004 (at 17:32:46 *g*).

I made my first post on 4th December, 2004 (at 11:58).

2. How did you find out about LJ?

IMS the first person I knew who had a LJ was solo.

I remember that she offered me an invite/code (whatever they were called) at one point, but I declined as I wasn't interested in getting a journal myself. By the time I was took the plunge and ventured into LJ land, invites/codes weren't needed.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list?

solo certainly is.

4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ?

Not in an official, as in sending them an invite, way. However, I have encouraged a few people to get one *waves to those people*.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why?

Mostly public. However, I do friends' lock certain posts, mainly personal ones and I am friends' locking more posts these days than I used to do.

As for why, I haven't been in the situation that some people have whereby they've been harassed or had very unpleasant comments left, stalked, etc. etc. Thus, for now at least, I don't see any point in making it entirely friends' locked. I have, however, turned off anonymous commenting.
