As I mentioned yesterday, I was still unfortunately not receiving all of my comments from LJ. I did report this to them and got the standard reply: Thank you for your report. It appears that a popular spam-blocking service has listed LiveJournal on their block list, resulting in delays in processing other email being sent. LiveJournal's system administrators are working to resolve this problem, but in the meantime, you may continue to be receiving intermittent notifications. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

earlier this morning:The previous issue with comment notification emails not being delivered should also now be resolved. However, a popular spam-blocking service has listed us on their block list, most likely because of the volume of email we send. Our system administrators are working with them to get un-listed. In the meantime, you might be unable to receive any email from LiveJournal if your mail provider uses server-side spam blocking.
If like me you know that your ISP doesn't have a spam-blocker, plus you were getting some of your comments, and you had reported this at the time of your original query, you might have been a tad miffed that they appear not to have read your report. Now I know that given the vast number of people who had clearly contacted them, the standard response is the logical one to make; sort out the 98% first and then deal with the 2% later kind of thing. Irksome, I agree, but not unheard of.
However, I decided to follow up with another report, again like other people had done, explaining that my ISP didn't have a spam blocker (I double checked this this morning). I received the following comment:For some users, all comments are being blocked. This is causing LiveJournal's mail servers to slow down, which causes all other comment emails to be delayed or intermittently lost. LiveJournal's system administrators are aware of this issue, and are working to resolve this problem. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.
Again, it's a standard reply, but at least it seems to address those of us who know that our ISPs don't have spam-blockers. And it's a little more informative, I feel.
Thus, I thought I'd share this with you for those of you who also knew that your ISPs didn't have spam-blockers and were wondering what the next step would be.
So fingers crossed (which makes typing impossible, so it'll have to be metaphorically), things will hopefully now move forward.
