Teddy: Sleeping

Favourite Films

This was kind of started by maubast and caffyolay, and as londonronnie got in on the act, I thought I had better give it a go :-) And it indulges my love of lists, of course. Although, I'm making a slight amendment to it. It started off by being 'feel good films', the kind you put on when you're feeling under the weather. However, I realise that I don't really have any of those, so instead I'll just go for films I enjoy - they aren't necessarily my top ten, just ones that came to mind as being definite re-watches.

So, sitting here trying to recall my DVD cabinets, in no particular order:

  1. The Great Escape - David McCallum (need I say more).

  2. A Night to Remember - and it's not just for DMc - honest!

  3. Towering Inferno - Don't know why, I just like it.

  4. Working Girl - The triangle works wonderfully, plus I like Harrison Ford (not as much as DMc, but I do like him).

  5. Air Force One - The storyline gripped me and of course it's Harrison Ford again.

  6. Company Business - Thanks to maubast and a friend. It could so easily, IMO, be a modern Napoleon/Illya film. But even putting that aside, it's a good film.

  7. Four Weddings and a Funeral - Again the cast work for me.

  8. Harvey - I love the idea of a giant, invisible rabbit.

  9. Arsenic and Old Lace - The comedy just works.

  10. Casablanca - A great combination and a hanky needed at the end.
