When I first read this question I thought 'No, of course not. Why would writing about a character change my mind about them'? (I assumed the question was referring to me writing given all the other questions are about writing).
However, when I came to do Day 06 and mentioned femslash, I realised the answer was actually 'yes'; it had happened. It happened in NCIS. When both Ziva and Jenny first appeared I honestly didn't like either of them, in fact I strongly disliked both of them. Worse still I didn't care about either of them (I can dislike a character but still care about them in terms of caring what happens). Thus, when I mentioned them in a story it tended to be in a negative way, based on how I saw them in canon.
Somehow though, despite my dislike of both characters I was drawn to them as a couple, I could easily believe in them as lovers. Still, I never thought I'd write them, as I had never written positively about a pairing I didn't care for. However, my 'never say never' mantra kicked in and I did write a story about them.
It's a sad story, a very sad, very moving (if I do say so myself), very painful story. And it was with this story my view of both women changed for the better. I grew to really like Ziva, to care about her and what happened to her very much, as time went on I grew to love Ziva as I did the other members of 'Team Gibbs'. I can't say I ever grew to love or even really like Jenny; although I for the most part stopped disliking her. More importantly though, I did grow to care about her and to feel for her in certain circumstances and I felt sorrow upon learning she was dying.
So yes, a story did indeed change my opinion not only of a character, but of two characters.
