Queen's Club

It's the final of the Queen's Club tournament, which I have been enjoying all week. There have been a few surprises, a few upsets and some excellent matches and moments. And it's all come down to two players who take to the court in just over an hour's time.

Andy Murray is a finalist at Queen's again!

If he wins it he does have to do it the 'hard' way as he had to complete his semi-final today due to rain yesterday. Thankfully, it only went to two sets so it could I guess be seen pretty much as a practice session. Whether Andy would agree with that, I know not.

Personally had I been running the tournament (eyes plutos_revenge) given that they knew full well that rain was coming and even pretty much when it was coming and that once it came late afternoon that was it for the day, I would have played both semi-finals simultaneously. Play was delayed for well over an hour yesterday thus there was no way they second semi was going to be completed, so why not utilize Court One as well? Yes, I know, I know: Corporates *Nods*

If Andy doesn't win today and he's going up against a huge server who has knocked down almost a hundred aces during this tournament I suspect much will be made about this fact and him having to play today. Of course if he wins that will all be forgotten *g*

Interestingly, he has won it three times before in: 2009, 2011 and 2013!

Oh, and it's the longest day today; one of my two 'favourite' and 'least favourite' days of the year. Favourite because from now on the days will start to get shorter and the nights longer - yay! And the least favourite because it is the longest day; so much daylight.

*Toddles off to do a few things before the match*
