Well here we are, day 30 - I can't believe how quickly the thirty days have gone. I've enjoyed doing this, I've enjoyed it a great deal. These thirty day memes are fun - now I need to find some more.

Day #30: What you think made Buffy so great

The characters and the scripts are the first two things that come to mind. Add to that the whole concept that whilst actually being a cliché just worked so well because of the characters and the scripts.

The cast all interacted so well; we had some wonderful friendships; some lovely romantic relationships; baddies you loved; so called goodies you disliked. It took things to another level and was clever not to overplay jokes or one-liners.

The writing was good it made you care about the characters and with very few exceptions even characters I disliked I cared about insofar as I wanted to know what happened to them - there were very few characters about whom I simply didn't give a damn one way or another.

Were there things I would have changed? Yes of course, in a heart-beat - but then I doubt there's a show out there whereby people wouldn't want to change something.

It just worked on so many different levels.

Put it this way we are on our fourth (or it may be more) re-watch - and we're not tired of it.

There's just so much awesomeness about Buffy.
