Congratulations, darling, well done!
Now how many challenges do you have left or was this the last one before you signed up for another one, was it last week?

I've got a new one waiting in the wings. ;)

Thank you, sweetheart. And there will be a banner - which is always good. The person told me today she'd make it next week when she's home.

I still have one more Raffles/Bunny one to finish (two stories, one of which I'm currently working on) and then Giles one I signed up for the end of last week. But I shall obviously sign up for more *g*

Oh, good!

Now that's always nice to have. I hope she's as good as her word. I'm still waiting for the ones I was promised in January and May...

You're doing very well!

Maybe we'll have to think of new challenge community, to satisfy our needs! *g*

I got one for the previous pairing I did, but given no one had finished a table in over a year, plus tags had never been set up, I did wonder if all they did these days was to approve folk. But nope, apparently not. I'm sure she will be. Oh, dear - January! That's really crazy. May is too really.

Thank you.

*Laughs* It's been a while since we had a new one *g*

That's good. It's good that they still make them.
Yes, I've given up on expecting something. I've made my own and that's that.

Uhuh *g* well, I'm game if you are. There's not much new and interesting to find these days.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 11th August 2013 10:30 (UTC) (Link)
Indeed it is.

I can quite understand that.

If we could come up with a good & different idea, then I'd certainly be game. As you know all of the challenges I've started have filled a gap in the market, so to speak and have been somewhat different - so it'd be a case of coming up with something to keep the patten going.

You won't believe it, but last night I received the banners... *rolls eyes*

Very true. I love the themed challenges we have.
I would love something where the meeting place is the prompt. Like: in a cave, at the dentist, at the reptile house in the zoo (or slightly more exciting things *g*).
Something like that, or a drabble comm, which could be a lot of fun with the right prompts.
I know there's drabble123, but with it no longer being moderated, it's totally off putting for me.

*Laughs softly* Oh, boy! Spooky.

I'm glad you do.

Hmmm, I quite like the meeting place idea. I shall mull it over.

The thing is anything we do has to a) fit across all and any fandoms - broadly at least and b) I hate to say has to appeal to me personally.

I know that may sound awful but these comms take a lot of setting up, not the comm so much itself but the tables - they do take time even with copy & paste & even given I have to an extent a template.

Ditto the initial posts and links and stuff - again I can pretty much just copy and paste and then tweak, but it's a solid day's work at least and so if it's not something that really appeals to me, it's just too much work. Especially as it involved concentrating in a way that I don't have to concentrate when writing or emailing, etc. and thus causes my neck to hurt a lot more.

And really it's not something that can be split between us - at least not easily.

Thus, if it's not something I'm keen on and something I want to do, TBH, it's not worth the effort and strain to set one up - I hope you can understand that, I'm sure you can given you too have limitations on what you can do.

As for a drabble comm - well now . . . Having said what I've just said, you may be surprised to hear that I have been giving consideration over the last few weeks to setting such a comm up with themed tables of 10, 15 or 20 prompts (I hadn't decided what number) and for 100, 200, 300, 400 or 500 words as a kind of 'gift' for you because I know how much you like writing drabbles and how all the fun has been taken out of Drabble123 for you.

I haven't actually done it yet, but it has been in the back of my mind pretty much ever since you asked about splitting the table in 100_Tales into 'bite sized tables'.

Right, I think as it's turning somewhat humid it's time for me to watch a bit of the athletics.
doylebaby From: doylebaby Date: 11th August 2013 15:34 (UTC) (Link)
*g* It certainly was, since we'd just discussed it.

Oh I can totally understand the amount of work - even if you can copy and paste templates and rules etc. It still involves a lot of work and checking and it has indeed be worth it to go through that much work. Having my own neck and back troubles, to a much lesser extend then you have, I can imagine that it would cost a lot of pain and suffering, as dramatic as it may sound, it is the truth.

What a lovely thought, that's so kind of you. :)Yes, I do indeed miss writing drabbles very much, that is so true. It would be the answer to a great wish of mine. :))

If you would decide on going ahead with it, the 'meeting place' prompts could be a themed table there - it would definitely work for drabbles up to 500 words and I'd be more than happy to think of other prompt tables and any other help you may need, even though I know most can't be shared.

I have the fan on beside me and are going back to my cross stitch for a while, while catching up with Celebrity Masterchef which I missed.

I'm glad you can understand - I was sure you would *Hugs*

Well it won't happen overnight, but I do think it might make a nice comm. Oh, yes, the meeting place could indeed form a table, what a good idea. Thank you - I shall let you know when I'm ready to set it up.

Ah you enjoying CMC? Cath and I are.

*More hugs*
doylebaby From: doylebaby Date: 13th August 2013 14:43 (UTC) (Link)

Yes, of course I do understand, sweetheart. *hugs back*

If you have decided whether you're going through with it and decide on any tables, let me know and I will start thinking on prompts. That's something I can help you with.

I do, although I didn't know it had started again. With the text tv gone - the tv-guide never seems to match with what is really on - I only found it by accident again.

Except for Adrian Edmondson (?) I don't know any of the celebrities that participate, but that's okay. I'll watch it anyway. :)

They have started to show the Australian version of MasterChef the Professionals here. It is with Chef Marco Pierre White, he's such a kind man (except in the kitchen *g*) and I really enjoy watching it.

The UK version will always be my favourite though.

*and more hugs to you*

Congratulations! This is truly impressive. I'm looking forward to reading about Raffles and Bunny as soon as things calm down a bit.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 9th August 2013 14:57 (UTC) (Link)
Thank you very much.

Oh, that's nice to now.

How are things going?
timetiger From: timetiger Date: 15th August 2013 15:37 (UTC) (Link)
Things are going very well, thanks. I'm back from my trip and hope to do a post about it soon.
nakeisha From: nakeisha Date: 16th August 2013 09:41 (UTC) (Link)
I'm glad to hear it.

I shall look forward to seeing that.
