Writer's Block: Firefox at the Opera
Which internet browser do you use most often and why? Similarly, which browser do you find most annoying to use?

My main browser on all my computers is Opera. I use it because it's fast, it's very safe and secure and it gives me everything I want without the need to hunt down and install a zillion add-ons.

It's easy to use, clean, has a lot of in-built features, the layout can be customised easily and I can get the effect I want in seconds. I love it and I would (and have/do) recommend it to anyone.

As for the most annoying browser that would be the Internet Exploder sorry Explorer we have these days. I very rarely use it and when I do it irks me so much I want to scream. The look and feel of it is is awful and it can't be customised to make it user friendly. It's slow and quite frankly I don't trust it to be secure.

I'm not familiar with Opera. I divide my time between Firefox and Google Chrome.

I hate Internet Explorer. It's so close, and there's so little you can do with it.

I tried Chrome, it drove me mad so it was banished from my computer *g*

I'm not in love with FF - I do use it from time to time, but it irks me that I have to spend so much time installing add-ons to get it 'user friendly' for me.

IE is just a real pain!

Hm. At one point I tried Opera, but I think it got deleted when I had a computer meltdown and had to have my harddrive reformatted.

Right now I can't afford to tax my computer with another browser, but after I get the new one, I'm definitely going to try Opera. The reasons you give for liking it are exactly what I'm looking for in a browser.

For the record, I currently use Chrome as primary (it's a serviceable browser except for how it deals with bookmarks) with Firefox as backup. As for IE - I use it only when the site I'm dealing with is optimized for IE and acts wonky with the other browsers.

Thanks for the reminder/tip about Opera. I may end up deleting Firefox, moving to Opera and keeping Chrome as a backup. Decisions, decisions... :)

I didn't get on with Chrome at all, it annoyed me. I use FF as a back up but again it and I don't really get on as it takes me too long to down load add-ons and tweak it to give me what Opera gives me from scratch.

You are very welcome indeed.
