Day 19 - Funniest moment
Again, not an easy one as NCIS contains a lot of humour, some subtle, some laugh out loud, some eye-rolling, some tasteful, some lacking in taste, some obvious, some less so and a lot of the humour is in banter rather than action. So it was a very hard choice. The one thing I always knew was that the answer had to include Tony in some way as he is the office clown and the vast majority of the humour centres around him or features him in some way of other.
After mulling over the various scenes that came to mind I decided to go with:
The scene in 'Sub-Rosa' (which used to be in the opening credits) when Tony and Tim need to get into a house. Tim is all for calling a judge and getting in 'legally', Tony, however, has other ideas - he's planning a wee bit of B&E. But it's the manner in which he does it that is so funny.
He decides to play football (American football), picks up a rock and starts dodging around with some very fancy footwork, calling to Tim to 'go deep', etc. etc. and finally, with a very bemused and bewildered Tim looking on, throws the rock through the window and breaks the glass so that they can get in.
It's just so Tony, so typically Tony. He is making a fool of himself, not in the idiotic, duh where are his brains, way, but in the fun, light-hearted, I know I'm a jock way. It amuses me even to think about the scene. And it's made all the more amusing by the look on poor Tim's face as he watches this agent who is senior to him dance around with a rock in his hand pretending to be in the middle of a ball game. Priceless.
